How do you increase Engagement?

  1. Provide good, reliable, authoritative content.
  2. Provide relevant images
  3. Embed quality related videos

How do you measure engagement?

  1. Google Analytics – Bounce Rate
    Bounce rate reflects the amount of time that a visitor spends on your website.  If you are using Google Analytics you can measure the time visitors spend on different pages.The lower the bounce rate, the better.  100% is the worst rate!  That means a visitor came to your page and left because it was not what they were looking for. They did not go to any other pages.
  2. Google Analytics – Time on Site (TOS)
    This metric allows you to see how much time a visitor spends on your page.  In this case, the higher the number, the better the engagement.
  3. Referrral Traffic
    Whether from other websites or social media, links back to you content can validate your authority.  (NOTE: There are SPAM links that hurt rather than help.)
